Privacy Policy

J-RAS Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes that personal information is an important asset of its users, complies with laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information, respects users' rights to privacy, and appropriately protects and handles users' personal information in accordance with the following Privacy Policy.

What is Personal Information?

Personal information in the context of the Company refers to "information provided by users when using the services offered by the Company, which can identify a specific individual through their name, address, telephone number, or other descriptions (including information that can be easily cross-referenced with other information, thereby identifying a specific individual)."

Purposes of Using Personal Information

The Company shall limit the purposes of use as much as possible, and, except in cases where the Company has obtained the prior consent of the user or where the handling is permitted as an exception by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, the Company will use personal information within the scope of the following purposes of use.

  • (12) Improvement of customer satisfaction
  • (13) Execution of duties entrusted to the Company by a third party
  • (14) Selection process for job applicants, responses to inquiries, and human resources management after hiring
  • (15) Distribution and sending of emails, email newsletters, direct mail, phone calls, faxes, etc., for the purpose of implementing the above objectives
  • Provision/Disclosure to Third Parties

    The Company will not provide or disclose acquired personal information to any third party, except in the following cases:

  • (1) When the user's consent has been obtained
  • (2) When disclosing to a business partner or subcontractor necessary to provide services to the user
  • (3) When there is a legitimate reason, such as being obligated to disclose or provide information based on laws and regulations
  • (4) When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the user's consent
  • (5) When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the user's consent
  • (6) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local public body, or a person entrusted by them in executing the affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the user's consent may impede the execution of the said affairs
  • (7) When disclosing to a successor in business due to business succession, such as the transfer of all or part of the services provided by the Company
  • Safety Management

    The Company takes measures for the personal information entrusted by users, including imposing confidentiality agreements on the Company's full-time employees, contract employees, dispatched employees, and part-time/casual employees (hereinafter referred to as "Employees") both during their employment and after their retirement. In addition to conducting regular educational and awareness activities for Employees, the Company strives to prevent the loss, destruction, leakage, alteration, and unauthorized access of personal information by appointing a manager for each department handling personal information and implementing security and other safety measures.

    Prohibited Matters Regarding Personal Information

    1. Personal information shall not be used outside the scope of the stated purposes of use. The Company will take all possible measures against acts of personal information leakage, such as taking personal information out of the designated use locations or transmitting it externally.

    2. The Company will not acquire, use, or provide personal information concerning the following matters:

    • (1) Matters concerning social discrimination, such as ideology, religion, race/ethnicity, physical/mental disability, and criminal history
    • (2) Matters related to healthcare/sex life, and matters related to the rights and actions of workers' organizations
    • (3) Matters related to the exercise of political rights, such as demonstrations and the right to petition

    External Outsourcing

    The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to external businesses in order to ensure smooth execution of operations. When outsourcing, the Company strives to limit the scope of the entrusted work as much as possible. Furthermore, the Company regularly confirms with the contracted party whether the necessary and appropriate level of management is maintained.

    Request for Disclosure, Correction, or Deletion of Personal Information

    The Company respects the individual's rights regarding personal information and will respond to requests for disclosure, correction, or deletion of personal information within a reasonable period and scope, but only if the Company can confirm the identity of the person making the request.

    Suspension of Use

    If a user requests the suspension of the use or provision to a third party of their personal information on the grounds that it is being used or provided to a third party in violation of this Privacy Policy, and the Company determines that the request has a legitimate reason, the Company shall suspend the use or provision to the third party to the extent necessary to rectify the violation. This shall not apply, however, when the suspension is difficult to implement, such as when it involves a large amount of expense, and the Company takes necessary alternative measures to protect the user's interests.

    Changes to the Privacy Policy

    The Company will continue to strive for the utmost protection of personal information and will revise this Privacy Policy as appropriate from time to time without prior consent or notice to users, in line with changes in laws and regulations. Please be aware that the revised and updated Privacy Policy will be promptly posted on this website. Furthermore, by using the services provided by the Company after a change to this Privacy Policy, the user shall be deemed to have consented to the changes in this Privacy Policy.
